5GHz All 6 Cores This Time

Thanks guys. To the human eye, games won't improve much after 4-4.5GHz Measured by FPS or benchmark, as long as the game is not GPU limited, then yes it helps

5GHz All 6 Cores This Time

Last time i did one core. Now, its finally all 6. It took a temperature ambient of 5 degrees colder to achieve this. However I still did not get a validation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqGwSDr1HKE

First question is what BIOS version are you using?

    2240MHz Mushkin Ridgeback RAM W/ Phenom II X6 1090T & 890FXA-UD5

Wrong. Youre on a 555 Athlon II ? If I recall that is a callisto core. Meaning you have an older IMC revision. Your ram sticks aren't duds, its just the old IMC's were tuned to run ram below 1700MHz. In most cases good luck getting your ram to run above 1700MHz with any old IMC revision based...

    2240MHz Mushkin Ridgeback RAM W/ Phenom II X6 1090T & 890FXA-UD5

Yeah, it's just a suicide overclock. Not stable at all. You have to understand that it is extremely difficult to attain clocks like these on AMD. The chips and boards are tuned more for running 1333MHz-1800MHz. The WR ram clock on the AMD platform is 2500MHz. I was just seeing how far my...

    2240MHz Mushkin Ridgeback RAM W/ Phenom II X6 1090T & 890FXA-UD5

I was really surprised to see what these lovely sticks did today. This is the Mushkin Ridgeback 1600MHz 6-8-6-24 kit. On AMD, it is extremely difficult to run any ram above 2000MHz. Well today I broke a personal record and clocked these sticks all the way up to 2240MHz 8-10-6-15-1T. I used my...

    5GHz Phenom II X6 1090T Cold Air

I am just used to posting on XS and OCN where they will see that CPU-z screen and right off the bat understand that I disabled cores. I now realize I was a bit ignorant to think that everyone has that sort of knowledge of this OC method

    5GHz Phenom II X6 1090T Cold Air

I've already made a bit of ground, and had a fair share of luck. Keeping in mind that if I do get things... I am just going for personal bests, not advertising. No one told me to advertise anything. Reviews that I do stay on review sites most of the time, not in forums. I won't link but take a...

I appreciate it man. This stuff just gets me excited. Hopefully one day I'll see myself at AMD. Its good to heard that it's cool and exciting, exactly what I'm hoping for! PS - I'm using my blog as an extra curricular activity

    5GHz Phenom II X6 1090T Cold Air

This is exactly my thought process. I do the suicides for enjoyment...finding boundaries. I understand this. But to be honest and I'll let you guys know now. I am 17 year old and I live in Canada. I am a highschool student looking to go into comp engineering next year. I am not making these...

    5GHz Phenom II X6 1090T Cold Air

For me personally I have a few reasons. I compete in benchmarking apps It's fun I like seeing the limit of the silicon, the limit of the current technology Why not? If its a hobby you enjoy, pursue it and enjoy. Yes it is not for the average joe just wanting some more everyday...
