i grabbed this ram a few months back at the same price. it had an aditional $10 off rebate that i never filed at the time but it is still hott, this ram is great. might add another gig for this price.

are you using a page file system? that will take up a few gig and will not be shown when you select the whole C drive

sounds like a driver conflict. this has happened to me before. try a slightly older driver and make sure you have proper monitor drivers installed. also check motherboard drivers.

does the thermal right perform as good as the zalman without a fan? if i get an answer to that i will change my OP. i saw the $20 diff but i want to keep my stuff cool as that is the main reason for this upgrade. my 2.8E is out of control even on stock settings.
