    Can I bypass of disable the fan detection on this motherboard? I want to boot and have a separate fan system but wont boot due to no fans detected

    Proliant dl385 g2 motherboard 430447-001

    My son and I have an old proliant dl385 g2 but no hard drive and no hard drive backplane. Can we just plug a laptop sata HD into the motherboard with cables? Or do I have to find a backplane?
