OK, so long story short, DO NOT UPDATE THE BIOS!!
I just got off the phone with ASUS and they confirmed that the BIOS being offered through the ASUS update software is faulty and causes the system not to boot. Additionally, there is no way to recover the BIOS. The only option is to return the...
I've spent the last hour or so trying to recover the BIOS with no success. The motherboard appears to be based off of their H110 chipset series and the part number on a sticker reads "H110-I/M32CD4/DP_MB". Interestingly, this would seem to indicate an ITX mainboard, but it's clearly mATX. There...
I want to post a heads-up regarding this machine. I'm setting up one for a client and the first boot into Windows 10 went fine. After a few minutes the "ASUS Updater" popped announcing a BIOS update for BIOS version 0701. I didn't try very hard, but there didn't appear any way to cancel the...
Just briefly scanned the thread, but looks to me like your problem is that you deleted the user account and then re-created another user with the same name expecting everything to be just like the old account.
In AD, accounts are not identified by the user name, but the SID. That's what you're...
All the above plus:
If your router has a feature called "station separation" you will want this to be OFF as it will prevent your wireless clients from talking to one another.
A good example of when you would want to enable station separation would be for a public access point like a...
I've found that separating routing/NAT and wireless duties helps significantly. For routing/firewall/NAT I use pfSense and for wireless, I use a Netgear WNDR3700. I haven't rebooted the 3700 since I put it in ~30 days ago.
I think most of the issue lie when the "home" routers NAT/connection...
My uncle gave me a pair of ARCNet cards back in the mid-90s. That got me started on all things networking.. 2Mbps over coax baby!! I remember playing a few MotoRacer and Descent LAN games over that link.
I'd also have to say my old Tandy TL/2..

What about gas/diesel electric?
If you're going for efficiency then diesel is the fuel of choice.
Diesel --> ~130,500 BTU/Gallon
Gasoline --> ~115,000 BTU/Gallon
If there is no restriction on fuel (onboard energy) you could even add a fully charged battery to the system.
Engine -->...
I don't understand why people don't use pass PHRASES more often.. I can type it "Gimme3 s0me Love!" faster than I can type in some computer-generated random sequence and it's easier to remember to boot..
I use a pass phrase whenever I can..

M-Audio LX4 2.1 system. It's also upgradeable to 5.1.
I just got mine from Samash.com for $199..
Listening to them right now I can't get over how "clear" the sound is.. The only downfall is now I can hear the defects in poorly recorded MP3..
Best.. system..ever..

I would think that the data (images) would be highly compressable. Even while using a lossless format.
If you think about it, one of the ways data is compressed is to replace multiple occurrances with one occurance..
And even though there is alot of stuff in the sky, there is still alot...
