thanks punisher. it turns out that nvmixer did install correctly. it just seems that chaintech (i have the 7njl4 model) motherboards use c-media driver for the onboard sound. so i will have to use the c-media driver anyways.

the problem is once i install nforce it can't seem to play sound through anything other than the front speakers. Even though my mobo is nForce with 6 channels. I really need some info on this. Any help is appreciated in this matter.
