Thanks Mwilding for the advice but I think I have a version of the mboard which allows jumper free settings or JEN Mode. My Mobo is set to allow this bios updating but I still don't have the option of setting the CPU Multiplier. I'm really close to cleaning off and re doing the Links on L1...

I have just set the L1 bridges on an Athlon 800. When I reboot and exit to bios I only see CPU Frequency Setting and a DRAM Frequency. A friends identical machine shows a CPU Clock Multiplier as well. Interestingly his manual shows CPU Clock multiplier listed in the bios on page 58. My manual...
