two weeks ago i ordered parts for two pcs i planned to build based on the anandtech november guide with motherboard - gigabyte ga-73um-s2h . i've built one of the pc's already, but the second motherboard was stolen during delivery. now i can't find them...
fyi - i received some info from highpoint regarding their rocket raid 404 product regarding the questions i've posted above.
seems i will need to backup and restore/reinstall, etc.
my raid0 drives are partitioned dual boot with xp pro and winserver2003 ops.

is it possible to convert a raid setup to another type without losing all data on the current drives?
situation:
i have rocket raid 404 setup with 2 drives in raid0 configuration and would like to change to a configuration with redundancy.

never got channel 1 to work, but running on channel3&4
problem was partly with windows install not recognizing the highpoint device driver diskettes.
not sure how to get this set as a bootable raid0 from the pci raid card.
the cd/rom&dvd are connected to the mobo ide1 connector while the 2 hds are connected to ch3&ch4 of the raid card (per problem above). does that sound right?

now i've tried connecting as ch3 & ch4 and it detected both drives during scanning. i'll give that a try i guess.
if it works this way, does that mean the raid card is bad, or that i never set the motherboard correctly?
