ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe Motherboard Temps

Well, 5 fans are running as exhaust. Back Case 80mm, PSU, Top Case 80mm, 2 x PCI slot fans. 2x80mm intakes in front of the hard drives. I noticed on Speed Fan that there are 3 temperature readings. CPU Motherboard Temp 3 (Unknown) Under 100% load, all three go into the 50's...

ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe Motherboard Temps

It's the motherboard temp. No idea what the case temp is. With 8 fans running in it, there's not a whole lot more I can do except for watercooling.

ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe Motherboard Temps

Thanks, I was hoping to hear that. If you look at my sig, my poor MOBO is running alot of gear. I'm thinking maybe I should take the EZ-connector PCI power plug out since my power supply already has two graphics card connectors. I'm not sure if that would be adding extra heat or not.

ASUS A8N SLi Deluxe Motherboard Temps

I just installed the thermalright 90C tobring my CPU temp down, now my next target is the mobo. I put two slot fans in the PCI bins, andof couse the little spinner runs at 8,000RPM's ... but I am getting low-mid 50's under load. What is the spec temp for tis MOBO, anyone know? The Lian-Li...

    FX series vs Athlon 64

If I run cool n' quiet it calms down, but at stock speed, i'm topping out at 70C according to ASUS (which I am pretty sure is off).

    FX series vs Athlon 64

Oh yeah, and the FX-55 runs at 104Watts. For those times that the heating in the house goes out ... or the oven goes on the fritz ... or when the lighter runs out of butane. You guys aren't looking at the bigger picture here. It's much more than just a CPU ...

    FX series vs Athlon 64

Hey! Not so fast. I have an FX-55, and i've convinced myself that the extra $300 is due to a solid gold core which executes instructions more efficiently than a mere Athlon 64's, as it runs an advanced algorithm derived from coded messages that can only be intercepted by the Hubble telescope...

    Thermal Interface Material Advice

DOH!!!! I guess that answer that. I know Arctic Silver has the better reputation with regards to compound. Anyone want to buy a tube of MX-1? ;-)

    Thermal Interface Material Advice

Yeah, check it out: http://www.case-mod.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=1522 I notice that they compare it's performance with AS2 and AS3, but not AS5.

    Thermal Interface Material Advice

I have an FX-55 processor that is running too hot. I just invested in a ThermalRight 90C Heatsink, and 92cm 126CFM fan, and a couple of slot coolers. Should arrive today. I also ordered 1 tube each of Arctic Silver 5 and Arctic Silver MX-1. They were both on sale and both tubes cost me...

    Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe - two cards, non-sli

Unfortunately, yes. It will work for awhile with the SLI bridge on ... however, at random times the bottom half of my screen would disappear, while the top half would remain. In other words, I would have half of a display. A reboot would restore the display, but after a coupleof hours or...

    Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe - two cards, non-sli

You are right. And honestly, ASUS should docment this stuff. All they say is "you can run 4 monitors". No further explanation. You actually have to break a pastic tab to remove 6800 Ultra Cards from this board as the little pull tab is behind the heatsink. I had to play with it, but the...

    Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe - two cards, non-sli

Try running MS Flight Simulator 2004 at 1600x1200 on 3 monitors (simulating a 100 degree cockpit view) with every setting on maximum in order to run pilot training simlations, and then tell me that 2x6800ultra's in non-sli is a waste of money ;-)

    Built out a new system

BTW, I changed the BIOS to clock those 5x512 sticks to DDR400. I got about a 7% speed boost in Sandra and Prime95. It's been very stable. Ergo, with the right motherboard and BIOS (ASUS A8N SLI Deluxe), you can indeed run 4 DIMMS at DDR400 without doing much more than telling your BIOS...

    Superhot FX-55

I finally got the rig running and am on about hour 12 of burn-in. Everything is stable, but WOW, the CPU runs super-hot. I'm using the stock heatsink that AMD provided for the FX-55, and I sit at 44C idle, but when I loaded up MS Flight Simulator, and turned every feature to Max, ran it at...
