OK, im not new to computers but i still have quite a lot to learn. this is my second build, and a week ago my old x800xl died on me.
I bought a x1800xt from newegg this weekend but now im wondering if i need to upgrade my PSU. (ATI suggests 450+)
I currently have an enermax 420w dual...
sounds good. I think i will go with the epox. I dont need the BEST MoBo for overclocking. I just want a good one. And its sounds like the DFI has major issues
Im trying to build a good gaming comp. right now im thiking x800 xl 256, 3200+ amd 64, a gig of 2.5 latancey ram...
Now what MoBo?
Im looking at the EPoX EP-9NPA+ ULTRA right now, but am willing to go higher prices if the quality is worth it.

I have a noisetaker Enermax 420w..
in the back is this lil chart ..... +3.3v=32a, +5v= 36a, +12v1=15a, +12v2=14a -12v 0.8a, +3.3v & +5v = 260w
well.....SHoooot! so it sounds like i need to slap another 100+ down to build this comp... whats a good psu u would sugest? Im most likly to NEVER eEVER use two 3d cards at once but if its a diff of only like 20-30 doller id rather side with "just in case:"

well i dont want to blow $300 on a video card that you guys think i will end up having to replace in a year.... so i guess i will wait for the next generation to come out and pick up the 6800 gt. its too bad tho, i really liked the x800 xl.:frown:

Thanks a lot guys i really appreciate the help. It sounds like i should just forget the 6600. i wouldn?t see any performance increase at all. now the question is a x800 xl or a NVIDIA 6800 gt... i know the 6800 does Slllllightly better in test, but i dont think a few extra frames is worth $ 100...
