    I have now taken the HSF off and cleaned all the AS5 off with isopropyl alcohol and lint free cloth, then a blast of air. The applied AS5 exactly per instructions. Replace all and temps are same idle and seem a little lower at load. 2 cores still 10 degress hotter than other two though...

    First official build

    hi Joe, That's good advice. Only difference for me is that I use a wrist band when building PCs. It has a metal connector you clip on a radiator (or similart grounded object). Means you are grounded, but free(ish) to move. They are very cheap.

    Thanks again. I am not using stock - I am using this: Xigmatek HDT-S1283 Fan Reviewed Here The fan was recommended by the UK Store I got the parts from for overclocking this combination of mothernoard, RAM, CPU. It is enourmous! I will try Prime out.
