Hello, I'm thinking of purchasing a new hard drive in the near future, I already own a 120 GB ATA 133 seagate drive and I was wondering if there could be any conflicts when I buy the new HDD which will be Serial ATA. Also, is there a way to have more than 2 disks? I'm on an ASUS P4C800-E deluxe...
well if you want to play games you have to get a good graphics card.. I would recommend ATI's 9600XT or 9800XT if you have the bucks. nVidia GF FX 5900 & 5950 ultras are very good cards too but @ DX 9.0 ATI owns the game...
Games like UT? Just wait for Half Life 2 and Doom 3.
Btw, you really...
Get a dvd, rip the VOBs off using DVD Decrypter, download DivX 5.1 or 5.1.1 and encode the VOBs twice simultaneously at 1000bps/slowest using TMPGenc or Virtual Dub Mod or anything you like. Another way of stress testing that I tend to like, is running Super Pi @ 32M and video encoding. If it...
it's an Intel chip, and by package I mean retail package I guess, the one with the hsf and the chip :P
i have cpu-z but i don't quite know how to translate these numbers, i'm kind of familiar with FPO/BATCH #L338A985 or C30469-006 or something but not this.
You're so damn lucky :) very cool CPU.. could you tell us it's stepping?
Your temps are normal at that vcore, from my experience with the C's it seems like w/ HT on, idle temperature is very very low but when on load it goes up to normal temps. If you disable HT you will notice a significant...
No luck, I couldn't find anything that connects divx and HT...
Timing with HT on and off I guess isn't very reliable either cause I think even if the app doesn't support HT it's still faster having it on than off, right?
Found a prog that supports HT: Besweet Light
It is used for audio encoding...
im using the same version of VDB and yes im divx encoding w/ divx 5.1, it is indeed possible it's the codec that has HT support.
I can't remember what my CPU utilization was when i had divx 5.0.5 on though.. gimme a minute i'll find out..
VirtualDubMod is using 80-90% of my CPU... Taskmanager CPU graphs show exact same activity on both virtual processors. I guess that means that's another app supporting HT ?
