No, he already has an E8600 and not a Q6600, (though i had recommended him E6600). And i think the E8600 comes with a E0 stepping. I dont think he would be able to sell the E8600 because of budget restrictions...

I am asking this info on behalf of my friend who has already bought an Intel E8600 and wants to get a nice mobo which is good and can also be overclocked to above 4GHz. He is (like me) into software development & database (ROLAP) querying requires a lot of processing power. Thnx
