An Athlon XP 1600+ (so cheap for now) and get a BARTON Athlon once it is released in March-May so the new Barton chip will be the same chipset as the current Xp's? Cause i wouldn't want to buy a motherboard now for (say a 1600+) and then have to get a new board for a Barton when itcomes out.

I went to comp usa to buy some cable this evening and noticed that the western digital 100gb 7200rpm hard drives were only $119.99 while the western digital 80GB 7200rpm HD's were $139...might have even been $149, not sure. If there is no known problem with the WD 100's i'm going to pick one...

I'm looking to get a very quiet fan for my box and the quietest one i've found that looks like it has a good CFM number is an 80mm panaflow. It's 32Db. How much quieter can a fan get than that?

ok, everyone is going to have a nice laugh at me now because of my cluelessness. I see most of the power sources are somewhere around 300, but then I see people that get ones that are 400...420. What's the difference or why would you get one with more or less power?
