It is always better to install both OS on single HDD, First install WIN98Se on first boot partition i.e. on C keep it 2GB(it should be decided on your Software requirement but keeping it 2 GB is good what I have experienced prasctically) and than install XP on second partition of the same HDD...
You can very well do accroding to your plan. But for this you must have third party partition utilities like Prtition Magic. Di you have? What type of second partition (Logical or Primary)?, it isn't better to merged second partiton with third or fourth? Leave frist partition intact. You can...

I do have simple solution for your problem. First of all boot your PC using DOS 6.22 setup diskette, it will ask you to run setup of DOS. Install it. Than install Windows NT on NTFS partition (Either upgrad DOS or have dual booting) and lastly upgrade your WINNT using WIN 2000. I am sure it...

Hi mmaki is right in saying keep fisrt partition less than 2GB and keep it as FAT when you are intended to install WINNT, because WINNT can not recognize FAT 32 file system. But if you want to install WIN 2K , then there is no such limitations. For multibooting it is better you have three to...
