    Pentium 4/RDRAM owners.....question please?

I got mine at googlegear.com, but I think newegg and all the others have them too. At googlegear the part numbers were 80455 for single sided, and 80455-1 for double sided. Also at the time of my purchase, the double sided stuff was about $4 a RIMM more. Hope this helps.

    Pentium 4/RDRAM owners.....question please?

SSXeon5, You're correct in saying that RDRAM is not supported by any chipset distant future in Intel's roadmaps. But (no offense meant), << RDRAM is done, the new B's (533MHz fsb) and the i850E chipsets might not even support PC-1066 because of high prices. >> is blatenly incorrect. The...

    The Mission - p4 1.8a@2.4Ghz+ !! - is this rig any good?

aks93, you might want to consider getting a P4T-E instead of the TH7-II. With a 133MHz FSB (assuming you can get to 2400MHz) you can get the RDRAM running at 1066, and the majority of TH7-IIs (excluding mine) can't handle the RDRAM running at that speed. Either way it's a gamble as not all...

    P4 Northwood and Rdram

Timmer, how'd you get them to drop the charge for the new BIOS? When I called them earlier this week they wouldn't acknowledge that it was a known problem, told me to mess with the jumpers (which obviously wouldn't work), and continued to deny that there was anything wrong with the BIOS. Only...

For those who ordered from GoogleGear.com

I didn't mean to scare you about the OCZ; hell it might work just fine for you. Give it a shot. I'd be surprised if it works for you at advertised speeds, but if it does keep it.

For those who ordered from GoogleGear.com

Personally, I bought some of the magical PC3000 thinking, "Woah, PC3000 DDR, and PC2700 is just coming out; I'll have the fastest memory on the block." When I got it, however, my system failed to post. Since the motherboard was new too, I tried out some old PC2100 I had in it, and it worked...

For those who ordered from GoogleGear.com

I ordered my stuff on a Thursday and it got here the next Monday, and they sent me a shipment confirmation the day after I ordered. By the way, pc3000 you say? Is that the OCZ stuff? If it is, I'd send it back, they make some real crappy stuff. I'd be surprised if it worked, let alone run at...
