    opening up the PSU

    hey guys my computer is making this really great annoying buzzing-ish sound, i've tracked it down to the PSU fan. i want to open it up and mayb oil it up or replace the fan.. any precautions i should take before opening the PSU up? i've never done it and i dont really intend on getting shocked...

    i just did a clean install of XP about a week ago, and so far its really great, except for this one problem. the problem is that no matter where, the screen seems to freeze for half a second, about every second. its not noticable at first, but after a while it really gets on my nerves...

    What cpu will you use in your next upgrade or new system?

    northwood for me... mainly cuz of the heat... i'm trying to minimize heat as much as i can for my next "quiet" system, while maintaining some performance; right now performance isnt as important as keeping it quiet... and amd is jes too hot for me.
