I went ahead and ordered the monitor. Figured I'd enjoy the boost in the less demanding games I play. In case I do need an upgrade, what would you guys suggest? An additional 6950 for Crossfire, or something like a 7970/GTX 670?
The one you just linked is 1920x1080...
I'm curious since I have two 1920x1200 screens right now.
EDIT: I misread your message as 1920x1200. I suppose you meant 1080.
Good point. I didn't really think about it that way.
I'm looking to hop on the 120hz wagon with something possibly like this. Is my system capable of pushing the frames needed? System spec is in sig. I play mostly Dota2, SC2, and Diablo3, with the occasional shooter sprinkled in. What upgrade suggestions do you guys have, if needed?
I believe that is a condenser mic, so you'll need phantom power. Not sure if the X-fi has that, but you'll want to check if you plan on going the XLR route. You'll likely not notice much difference in audio quality, but I always believe in going with the fewest connections/adapters as possible...
I never got the problem completely fixed. It usually stayed in S3 sleep, but the only sure way to make sure it stayed off was to turn off the power supply.
Yeah I've made the mistake of shipping the whole computer without disassembling it. That was about 6 years ago and Fedex put a huge dent in the side of the case. Any idea how much it would cost to ship the computer? I'd have to factor in 24" monitor, bookshelf speakers, and keyboard/mouse...
I'm moving soon, and I need a plan for my computer. I can either try to ship my desktop to my new location, or buy a desktop replacement laptop. Thing is, this is probably a temporary move and I only plan on being there for one year.
New laptop for $1500, or ship current (powerful) desktop...
No change when I enabled Power on by PCIe :(.
It's definitely NOT a front panel connector issue, since I just disconnected all the wires and I still can't get the computer to stay powered off. Waking it up from sleep also causes it to reboot.
Been having some issues with the power on this motherboard. A few things:
1)It goes to S3 sleep fine, but I can only resume it by using the power button (no USB mouse or keyboard wake).
2)It doesn't actually resume from sleep. I see the desktop for a second, then it resumes from...
I followed your advice, unseated and replugged almost everything. PC is back up!
However, 2 of my hard drives are dead :(. Both are Samsung 1TB drives which I have heard were extra sensitive to power surges. They're under warranty still, but is this RMA-able?
I was noticing higher temps than usual while converting some video, so I took off the side panel to see if I was having trouble with airflow. Lo and behold, the rear case fan was not spinning, even though I had it the 3-pin connector plugged into the motherboard. There is a 4-pin molex...
I am using the PC-7FN right now. It is very well built and easy to work with. It's also a bit more minimalistic in design if that's your thing.
I haven't used the HAF, but from looking at the pictures, the Lian Li looks to be made from higher quality materials. Seems like you could stick a...
Hey guys.
I'm looking for an app that lets me download a track from my home music library to my iPhone while I am out and about. I've been using Audiogalaxy which works very well for streaming, but it doesn't let me save the tracks to the phone. I'd like the ability to download the tracks...
