    Intel ac 7260 and a dv6-7214nr

And then I happen to notice a sticker on the card that says, "Engineering sample. Not for resale." That's probably not the best kind of card to mess with for a home computer, is it?

    Intel ac 7260 and a dv6-7214nr

So, I tried that, and the result is the same. I did manage to find a few entries of the old Ralink wireless drivers in the system and got those cleaned out. I've played with different settings on the advanced tab for the Intel AC card in Device Manager. The light will stay white for up to 10...

    Intel ac 7260 and a dv6-7214nr

I appreciate the feedback. I will start trying the screw thing just in case. The idea of it just possibly being a bad card makes me feel better. Thanks!

    Intel ac 7260 and a dv6-7214nr

    So this X6 thing...

GYAH! Fry's... ahhh, seems like not too long ago I lived only a 20 minute drive away... my own Elysian Fields on Saturdays off work... then I moved to a place where the nearest one, or even a Microcenter, is 5 hours away if I speed heavily... depressing... I have no doubt the performance jump...

    So this X6 thing...

After a few years of avoiding upgrading my computer for different reasons, I'm here to upgrade my poor, little computer. She's 8 years old and weezing like an asthmatic marathon runner out of shape. A pentium 4 running an AGP GPU and barely could get it to 1.5 GB of memory and XP takes more time...
