When I tried to format C: it said format cannot run because volume is in use by another process. Format may run if this voulume is dismounted first. All opened handles to this volume would then be invalid. Would you like to force a dismount on this volume? What should I do?

For about a month now every time I start my computer I have to put in the winxp cd to load it which takes about 10 minutes. Seems like the only thing for me to do is reformat my drive. Can someone tell me why I have to boot from winxp cd when I start my computer? I have win xp pro. Not a major problem just annoying sometimes.

It's working fine now, there was an extra power connector that needed to be hooked up.
