i already tried that i even tried to put new thermal grease on the GPU cooler idk if it was that good of idea but it helped lol my cards GPU is now 43C anyway i am thinking to buy a new body cooling for my 8800gt (sorry for my bad english :P) can you check it out...

i got the same problem with the 8800 gt it shutdown all the time though in my case it doesn't shutdown when i am in idle just when i play games i also thought it was my power supply so i got a thermaltake 600w but it didn't rlly do the job my monitor keeps shuting down though my computer...
