Yes. It ejects even if the scsi cable is not connected. I'm seriously doubting media with drive mismatch. Anyone know the compatible media for this drive?

Hi, I got this tape drive in a garage sale. It detects perfectly with my aha 2940w scsi card in Windows XP and also shows in device manager as "Archive Python 02779-xxx". Drivers are perfect and no conflicts. XP Backup also recognizes the drive. But all I have is DDS-3 12/24 GB DAT media only...

Thanks LiLithTecH and redbeard1. Since new P4 systems without monitor from dell are available from $450 after rebates, I thought within $200 I will be able to get a descent motherboard and cpu. Well I think now the PSU will be a problem. Thanks again for your help. I'll wait for a good price...
