Problem solved. Thank you everybody for the input. The problem was that I placed the 6 pin PCI-E power cord on the wrong socket in the Strider. Now is up and running. Thanks.
Yes I cleared the CMOS, still the same problem
However, I did have to take out the old 0502 BIOS chip and install the new chip that ASUS provide. I don't think I made a mistake in swapping the chip as I made sure there was a click sound when I inserted the new BIOS chip in.

I'm not sure what seems to be the problem. Checked all power plugs and it seems to be fine. When I press the power button the fan spins up for a second and then stop. I do get a green LED light on the motherboard. What could cause this?
How do I know what timing is valid? For instance what decides if I should change my timings from 2-2-2-2 to 2-3-2-2 or 2-3-3-3? I know as I OC my FSB higher I need to loosen up the timings, but how much do I loosen up? Like 2-2-2-2 to 2-3-2-2 or 2-3-3-3. Thanks.
I didn't really get any error message. But I do suspect it may have something to dow with the RAM. It just that it rebooted on test 8 and last time it just stopped on test 8.
I'm just wondering are there any other potential problem that could be surfacing?

I am trying to replace the stock cooler and I'm having trouble in taking out the power connector? Is there an efficient way to get it out because i'm afraid that I might snap off the whole thing. Thanks.
Don't mind my noobish question. But I asume they are swappable right? I can just take out my old hard drive from one of my computers and retain all the files and stuff onto a newer computer? This is just a storage drive, not a boot drive. Thank you.
So I don't have to format anything right? And windows will immediately recognize the hard drive? Sorry for all the questions, kind of uninformed about these things. But so far thanks for all your replies.
I won't be installing Windows XP on it. It is just a storage hard drive. No OS in it at all. This is why i'm asking because I tried using hte search feature and I keep finding posts about moving the OS Hard drive to another motherboard. I know for that you should definitely format. But, in my...
Hi, I am new around here. I got myself a Hitachi 160GB SATA hard drive during black friday. I have been using it as a storage drive for my currect computer. I was wondering can I actually use this hard drive on a future computer that I might be getting? I basically want to use my stored files...
