I think that the housing has been pretty well covered, so on to jobs... You should subscribe to the relevant user group lists (adnug.org, austinjug.org, austin.pm.org, etc) as well as checking local resources (www.geekaustin.net, craigslist, etc). The job market is healthy; IME, nobody cares...
