Wow, I never knew there was such a difference. So, maybe the textures in Camanche 4 are 16bit? Because I can run 1024x768x16 pretty nicely, but since you explained it, I may look into 32bit a little more.
Thanks.
32bit and 16bit are just different color settings, right?
I lowered it to 16bit, because I want to run highest detail on everything, and wanted 1024x768. :D I also put detail in front of everything when I choose display settings for a game, I love detail.
And, if those are color settings...
In Comanche 4 on my Rdaeon 8500, it went pretty choppy at 32bit. When I changed it, it was veyr smooth at 16bit. (Probably not smooth enough for others) :D
If you get an RMA from NewEgg, they tell you in the e-mail if there's a restocking fee. i got a refund, and because my card wass defective (or the rep felt sorry for me) I didn't have to pay a restocking fee. I lost about $14 in the card.. Shipping at newegg at first (when I bought the Ap64D)...
WIndows XP may not support it because once its that small, the interface probably uses too much space..
not sure though, as I am still a 98SE user.. :D
Well, I didn't experience the problems first-hand. But I read that people have experienced problems with the screen loosing its crispness weeks after purchase. I couldn't find a review on the monitor anywhere, but off of ZDNet consumers gave thumbs down for 12/14 people. 2 with thumbs up. I...
Actually, I don't need to squint with a 1600x1200 resolution. And, I WILL be doing dual monitor. :D of course, my current one only does 1600x1200 at 70hz, so I think I'll run this one at 1280x960 and the new one at 1600x1200.. :)
I have found out about the Samsung 900NF. I have read a few...
I want to find a new primary display, as I would love to have some 1600x1200 action.
I was going to look into the NEC FP955, HOWEVER, I have heard it has a few problems. I need a monitor that will last, has a nice clear picture (preferably .25mm dot pitch) and good colors. Trinitrons and...
Wait, you're not buying the new card until September? If so, by then, ATI may have released a new card, or just an updated 8500..
Maybe I misundertsood?
