i'm running win2000 server, it does not except the install shield.
Besides when I was running 98 on this machine, setup with the network wizard I still had the same problem
Have a small network setup, when I go to sharing and security on the c:\
it'll share the drive as whatever, but it will not share system folders such as 'program files' and 'windows' folder as it says "The following folder and file are used by the operating system".

Win2000 server will not let me map the dvd or burner drives from my WinXP(home edition)machine, well it'll let you map it but if you go to explore it it says "invalid parameter".
Does someone have any answers for this problem?
I have a small internal network using internet sharing, the XP machine connects to a win2000 server(for test reasons) but the XP machine acts as the default gateway(connects directly to the net)
although I don't think this could be related, I have nothing running in the services either awaiting...
Can someone pls dig this out of their limited XP knowledge base????
Obviosuly when not connected to a dial up connection, it keeps automatically trying to dial an internet connection. Even if the modem is off this occurs.
when it comes up as "dialing ........." whatever, I'd click cancel...
