i was not clear back there. what i meant was that my core 2 duo is a 45nm processor. while the dual core is obviously now. also, let me point out that the heat sink of the dual core is bigger than the core 2 duo's heat sink. any input is appreciated. thank you.

Hi, can i use a core 2 dup fan, heat/sink with my old dual core cpu? i am sure it will fit( but am not 100% positive) but what about the heating? the core 2 duo was designed to operate at lower temps. am not sure it can handle the heat of a dual core(the core2duo is a 45nm processor). thank you.
