    ECS GF7050VT-M Bios Options

If you want to run DDR2 800 RAM at the rated speed set the "System Clock Mode" in the "Frequency/Voltage" screen to "Unlinked" , otherwise it will run only at DDR2 667. I concur that it is an inexpensive, yet solid board. Just don't expect it to be an overclocking monster.

Running a combo at 3200+ speed (200FSB), memory at 166Mhz (PC2700) with stock cooler which has a copper slug. No errors in Memtest and Prime 95 (8 hour runs each). Put in some PC3200 and it should run the memory at 200Mhz. Get a good power supply and don't forget to plug in the extra 12v...

    SCSI 160 vs SATA

    1. A 80 mm fan should work fine. I usually leave about 1/2" to 3/4" clearance between drives. This works fine with the 4 SCSI drives in my case. 2. My 350W SPI power supply powers 4 SCSI (1 - 15K and 3 - 10K drives), 2 IDE drives, a DVD burner, an overclocked Barton, etc. with no issues. 3...

According to the latest version of SiSoftware Sandra (standard version 2004.10.9.89), the PCI bus is at 33Mhz with a 1/5 divider with the CPU running at 166Mhz FSB. You will have to set JP3 and JP5 to the 166Mhz postion and also may need to update the BIOS to version 5.0g if it's a revision 5...
