Tks yr advice Corky. Its actually for my brothers computer so I'll pass it along. As a matter of interest I tried to disable power off on my comp using yr advice, but no matter what I tried I was unable to disable power off. Still, that's not the current pbm. Tks again.

CRC is cyclic redundancy check. It is usually something to do with IP packets, maybe ethernet packets also. It validates whether the packet has been received clean,(or with errors). Does'nt seem to relate to yr pbm though.

Gday The psu no longer shuts down automatically. Can someone pls tell me how to enable it to do that again. I've chkd the help files on win98 but cannot find answer. Tks.
