Alot of people set manually fan to run at higher RPM with software like ATItool etc. Not sure if the fan control works yet with 8800 and Vista, should work under XP if I have understanded correctly.

Hate to say it but your logic is bit faulty, because both manufacturers have occasional duds among them and god forbid theres even been large scale manufacturing errors on some series of cards. I would also consider that 7xxx series are no longer manufactured and their support is going to end...

I look outlook as old and buggy software. You should try setting your email account with Mozilla Thunderbird and see what happens.

I usually point my blaiming finger on PSU when computer reboots itself during heavy usage. Blue screen etc and I start to look into memory/CPU issues. But the above poster has a valid guestion, does this happen on any other applications aswell?
