Hi, I have an Asus K7V Adaptec 2940AU NEC 40x CD-ROM (SCSI) SCSI Seagate HDD I can't seem to get the cd-rom to boot off the winxp cd. It recognizes that the cd-rom is bootable, but doesnt' actually boot off it. Any ideas? I've set cd-rom as bootable, and make it the first boot device.

nope. I got it booting, but I can't install an OS. Win2k and XP just freeze at various stages on the install.

Got it working. It was jumpered for 133 and I was running a Duron 800.
