Poll: Have ATI cards and drivers been relatively trouble free for you?

Small problems here and there, nothing *too* annoying. Had the very 1st Radeon (before they had the numbering scheme.) that card still runs in a friend's machine. Currently using a 9700np. (beside the infinite loop problem, which going diwn to agp 4x fixed *cross fingers*) Basically, ever...

    Help killing interference in speakers.

I have a pair of Boston Acoustics 2.1 speakers, nothing fancy, but it sounds good. The problem is that there is a radio tower 2 blocks down the street ( I live on top of a mountain) and I hear massive static, sometimes even radio stations cause the wires pick up the signal. Is there any cheap...

We don't need no 9800 PRO or XT!!!

Of course there is a need for new video cards. New cards come out, old cards get cheaper. People that dosne't need the lastest/greatest card = Win. I'm all for CPUs that are barely faster and Video cards that are 5 fps faster than what's greatest now, makes buying *my* parts much cheaper. :)

wireless picking up 2 wlan and switching between them

You should also be able to tell the Lan card to use a preferred network, that way it'll alway log on to the chosen network when its avaliable.

    NEC 1860NX

I use a NEC 1715, which is a pretty no frills 16ms LCD with only an analogue connection. I also have a samsung 191T in another room that I took down to do a AB test. While 25ms is not bad at all. 16ms really does blow it away if you play FPS games, other than that, a 25ms LCD shouldn't give...

Poll:Does the preliminary bench marks of HL2 affect your purchasing decision on a DX9 capable Video card?

Well, I have both brands at one time, but now both of my computers are running Radeons.... Nothing too techie, but I just got sick and confused by the naming scheme by Nividia with their FX series. ATI has it right, do it the Mercedes method, bigger number means faster card. :P

Care and feeding of a LCD?

Simple question.... If I were to leave my computer unattended for only an hour or 2, should I set it on a screensaver or just have the LCD power down?

What if they made a GOLD SLK-900

While the thought of a bling-bling computer amuses me to no end (I'd have spotlights pointing at the HS, and hang a small disco ball in the case. joking) Yeah the weight would just make it impracticle at best.

    Weird problem

Well Ram was my only guess, but since you have 1gb, that shouldn't be the case. I'll hand this off to the more knowledgable experts.

    Weird problem

Just curious, how much ram do you have? 256? 512? 1gb?

    Logitech IR USB Mouse Issues

3 possible solutions: 1)plug it into another USB port (or if you're using a hub, pulg it straight into the computer) 2)Check or update your USB drivers. 3)Buy another USB->PS2 adapter.

    LCD Monitor HELP

Well I don't have a LCD, but like you I'm also shopping for one, this is what I find in my search... 1) DVI input are only avaliable on LCD's 17" or higher, this isn't much a problem excpet price, but.... 2) 17"+ LCDs all have native resolutions of 1280x1024, which means you need to have one...

    *** Official ABIT IC7/G (875P) Thread ***

The NB's far enough from the CPU that you'll run into no vertical obstruction even with the 7000cu. I have the 7000 AlCu and they don't get in the way of each other... though getting to that upper left hook/loop will take some fine fingerwork since the fins to get close to the HS.
