I don't think you use a mic/headset type setup with this. If you read the last part of the page, it states that you put in your PHONE number and the phone number of everyone else you want in the call then it will dial-out to everyone and their phone will ring.
Actually, these DVD players were most likely made by Apex, as if you look at the firmware code, you'll see alot of Apex code from their other players. Without even looking at the code, you can see the menus and screensaver are exactly the same as that of Apex players of the past.
