No worries, thanks for your replies :)
Oh and i did join up with xtremesystems about a week ago.... Slack site hasn't activated my account lol
I guess i'll keep trying and hopefully i persevere and get some good results
O i see... Well I did get the board for free, so in that case im not complaining, I swapped it for the Gigabyte EP45 extreme.. which now i wish i had of kept lol (i didnt actually get to use the board and even see its ability)
Alright well currently the Vcore is sitting around 1.3 volts...
Hey,
I just went from my gigabyte 680sli board to an intel chipset, i chose the blackops because of some recommendation and it had quite good reviews on overclocking (i guess mainly for quad cores)
However it has sooo many more BIOS options then my old board and its hard getting my head...
It's interesting because i thought you guys would have received your new board then shipped back the 680i, im sure thats what was said lol, anyways glad to see everyone is getting dealt with and something is being done :)
I took the striker motherboard down to the computer shop just to see if they had a spare CPU to try but he didn't so im not sure what to do... Im hoping both motherboards arent dead. Will try taking it out of the case now :)
EDIT
Took it out of the case and both motherboards now work even...
Hey guys hope ive posted in the right part of the forum (im thinking its motherboard related) im having a bit of trouble with my dads computer

My email was replied to just like yours was but Colin will no doubt contact you, so just wait till tomorrow :)
I've been reading all this talk about a trade up to the X48-DQ board.. but for someone who has got 2x8800gt's already in SLI like myself... Kinda defeats the purpose.. I hope we can have a choice of either the X48 or the 790 in that case
Good luck guys let us know how you all go
Ryan
I think the last thing everyone wants is to send back their motherboard for god knows how long to have a few capacitors put on it... I'd personally like an upgrade to the 790 board, because originally after purchasing my GA- 680 about about to purchase the QX6850 i seen this thread.. thank god i...
I hope this isn't a stupid question, but is the replacement program in place at the moment for those ONLY with a QX6850 processor? Because like many other people this wasn't the only problem with the board and im wondering if a replacement program is open to all those having problems.
Ryan
So basically if you have had other problems such as DMI pool errors and particular things not working then you don't get this replacement 790 board? WOW just WOW... It's good they're doing something about it, but only for those who coughed up $1000 for a processor which no doubt they have...
