No, It is a new CD rom, 52x. I had my system up and running before and it worked fine. However, for some reason it is not acting properly. is there a fix that I could try?

I have my cd-rom and my cd-r. writing to the cdr takes a loooong time.

Yes I did. I got the primary ide working by disabling it in the bios. I tried the same thing for the IDE2 but it didn't have any effect.

I did try that. The device manager is set on "dma if available" but it is still in pio mode.

I got the primary working at udma but not the secondary? how do I get it going? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I am having extreme difficulty with the abit KT7-raid motherboard and keeping my operating system from not crashing or freezing on startup or losing part of the boot sectors on my hard drives. Every time I set the raid bios and mirror or stripe my HD's my computer acts up. I have: Abit KT7...

Help! I don't know the best bios settings to run a T-bird 1Ghz processor....I don't want to over clock... thanks in advance Abit kt7 raid 1Ghz T-bird etc. etc.
