If you want to use the Add/Remove feature you can go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, click the Classic Start Menu button and use the Add/Remove feature. As you are exiting just click the button back to Start Menu so you don't actually switch to the classic mode.

Check around for some additional init strings. Some modems will display the true connection speed by adding a W2 or S95=3 to the init string.
