7800 GTX SLI vs Single 8800 GT

Which would be better. I have the 7800s in SLI currently, will a single 8800 GT beat that enough to warrant an upgrade?? Also i am having heat trouble with the two cards, would one card be a lot cooler, Thx

    GIGABYTE GeForce 8800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3

Right now I am mainly playing Lord of the Rings Online and the native res of my monitor is 1280 x 1024. The game runs kinda twitchy with my 9200 so I have to turn some of the settings down.

Cool, glad that I won't need Vista. Anyone know anything about this card? Is it a good upgrade?

    GIGABYTE GeForce 8800GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3

I currently have a AMD dual core 3800 CPU and a Nvidia 7900GS video card. I have come into some money and was thinking about getting this card. Would it be a good upgrade from my 7900GS? Also, I am running Windows XP and have no intention of buying Vista any year soon. The card is a DirectX 10...

    Windows XP Batch files

Here is what the teacher sent me back to show what it should be md .\asg5 time /t > .\asg5\time.txt cd .\asg5 dir pause Where can I find info on what all the .\ , /t, and > symbols do and a big list of them. Every help tutorial I find on batch files really do not discuss these...

    Windows XP Batch files

LOL, this is for a A+ certification class at a college i am going to. Our teacher gave us thses batch file assignments and the book doesn't talk about them and he has never gone over how to do them either. I guess he just expects us to know DOS. Thanks for giving me a direction to go in.

    Windows XP Batch files

I have to do a batch file for a class but I just don't know enough about the Command Prompt to get it right. It is fairly simple 1. Write a batch file that creates a directory named asg5. 2. Then change the cursor to the new directory (asg5). 3. Display the system time without changing it...

    Windows XP batch files

I am doing a batch file. I need to run two commands and add the data from both to a single text file. ver > c:\ver.txt vol > c:\ver.txt when I run this the volume information overwrites the version info in the text file. How can I have it record both. Oh, any web sites you can recommend...

Socket 939 AMD X2s...where have you gone

I saw those Opterons at Newegg but they did appear on the list of recommended CPUs for that board. i didn't know if that would make the board unstable of not. God i wish Newegg hadn't run out of those $90 4600s

Socket 939 AMD X2s...where have you gone

I know nothing about Opterons. I assume some of these are single core. I have a 3800 dual core right now. If I up grade, I want it to be cheap and a good boost. Thats why I wanted that Manchester 4600 Newegg had for sale till they took it off the site. Hard to argue with a $90 upgrade. These...

Socket 939 AMD X2s...where have you gone

I have a unused socket 939 MB sitting in my desk unopened. Its an AsRock VSTA. I was thinking about sticking a CPU in it and finally using it. I have another AsRock MB with a AMD X2 3800 so I wanted something better to stick in the VSTA and use it as my main machine and give my buddy my old...
