SiS741GX has an onboard graphics chip that takes some of your system memory, 64MB in your case. You can set how much it uses in the BIOS, for 2D work only, 32 MB should be sufficient. HTH

A new video card will do wonders. A lot of new games are more GPU bound. I still have an old Barton 2500+ (although o/c'ed to 3100+), and with an ATI X800 Pro, it performs well in most games.
