    Extreme computer interference with monitors

I just bought a pair of KRK Rokit 5 3rd gen studio monitors. The cable is a 1/8in TRS to dual 1/4in Y cable. Whenever I hook it into my computer I can hear everything the computer is doing through the speakers, especially when I am playing games. Whenever I plug up the speakers to a MP3 or...

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

"cheap" and "best" are relative terms and I was just asking for opinionated responses for good 6870's that are around $160 price point. Since I am getting a new retail card from a more reputable site, I think it is a valid question.

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

Alright so I went to my bank (PNC) to file a dispute, and they actually credited my account the difference no questions asked which was cool. The manager of the bank filed the claim and are in the process of contacting Gearxs. Ironically just an hour before I went to the bank, Gearxs sent me an...

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

STILL have not heard back from the RMA request I did over a week ago. I did a second one as well about 3 days ago...and it is supposed to be within 48 hours. I just checked the card on a different PSU at 700 watts and it booted to the desktop for a few seconds then the output went out for good...

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

Think for the request I checked the replace/repair box....but I think getting a refund would be the better choice. I knew I should of just went with newegg and got a lesser card. Nice avatar by the way....he is my favorite fighter.

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

I sent GearXS an RMA request, so I guess I'll have to see what comes of that. I just don't understand why it would have an ASUS part number for a card that looks like it is the reference ATI/AMD card. Not to mention why the serial number isn't right for a part number from ASUS.

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

I originally dealt with GearXS over the phone and they told me I have to go through AMD. But it seems to me they are the ones responsible for the card because they basically gave me a lemon. It doesn't say ASUS anywhere just ATI/AMD. I looked up the part number of one of the stickers on the...

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

Yeah I updated the drivers and gamed for a whole day. It wasn't until the next day that the card gave me issues.

Got a faulty 5870, no one wants to take it back

I need some advice/help with a video card issue. I bought a 5870 from GearXS on Black Friday for $149. It was an OEM card and thought it looked like a great deal. I get the card and it is working fine for the first day. The second day I go to boot up my computer and after a minute the desktop...

Should I get a new PSU for this build?

Alright so the parts are still on the way to my house, and I pulled the trigger on this: http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2171615 Problem is, the PSU I got a couple of months back has had bad reviews: (have yet to unpackage it)...

    Budget Sandy Build

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...scrollFullInfo I already pulled the trigger on the system, but now I am worried about my PSU. I bought this way back at christmas time because it was on sale and thought I would need a decent PSU. It didn't have this many bad reviews at the time...now it...

    Budget Sandy Build

Yeah I don't even know what games look like on high since I have had this setup since 2009. Thought now would be a good time to buy since I have some spare cash. Is there a good beginners guide at there on building a custom rig? By the way thanks for the help.

    Budget Sandy Build

Yeah it is not that big of a deal if I don't see a huge improvement. I am picky about sound and heat which is why I decided to wait on the 7000 series...as I would want it to be on par with the 4670 when it comes to sound/heat. 3 vs 3 maps my frame rate will go into single digits, so I...
