best overclock you have seen to date?

It depends. If we´re talking in terms of %, definetely the 1.8A-C1, running @ 3.6. I managed to push it up to 3.345 GHz, with intel´s hsf, while a friend, with prometeia cooling, hit the 3.6. You can read the full story @ the overclockers forum. Now if we´re talking about the top frequency...

    Ageless question: What's the best o/c P4?

I´ll definetely advise you to wait for the 1.8 C1. This is what I achieved with default Intel's cooling, Vcore 1.65V 1.8 C1 aircooled and this is the same processor, prometeia cooled 1.8 C1 promie cooled The processor came with a Dell desktop. Needless to say that the 1.8 C1(aircooled) beat...

    Finally 3Ghz!!!

As far as I remember, my P4B533-E (before I burned it due to an unsuccesful Vmem mod) after applying the dip switch trick, had to set 1:1 in bios in order to clock the mem @fsb x1.333(2.666 ddr). If I chose the 3:4 divider, then the memory was running @ a true 1:1. So, give it a try and post any...

    Overclocking A7V333

Maybe this particular mobo, was a bad piece, not saying that it isn´t a good overclocker. Kept me happy, when everyone was saying that asus mobos 4 amd platforms, aren´t good overclockers. Too bad it died though.... My asus

I have a question bout most P4 motherboards...

As far as I know, although it will run without it, it is required for stability... You can try an asus board, most of them provide a standard power connector, in case the psu doesn't support it. Or you can work a simple mod out, these are regular voltages :);)

Know something about GA-8ST-L? Please help!!!

Considering the limited number of mobo choises, have a look at these links, to verify the features of each mobo. Asus P4B533 Gigabyte GA-8ST-L Msi 645E MAX2-LRU The P4B533 uses Intel's 845E chipset, instead of the other two. This chipset offers HyperThreading support, for a future cpu...

    Gigabyte GA-8PE667-ULTRA or Abit BE7-RAID?

The Gigabyte runs rock solid as long as you use a single stick of ddr 333 and overclocks pretty good as well. Abit is well known for good performing, stable, overclocking mobos, and as stated at their site it supports 2 sticks of ddr 333... If the Abit was available before I switched from Amd to...
