Before you much further, you need to check that:
1 - You don't just need an adjustment due to wear (Worn clutch/pressure plate/throwout bearing makes it hard to get into first gear in particular. If worn enough it makes it hard to get in any gear). So check to make sure the clutch is adjusted...
Actually, it's cooler at the rim of the canyon both summer and winter. The difference is in the winter it's downright cold on the rim. It snows there in winter. The bottom of the canyon is close to the desert temps in Phoenix, because the bottom is close to the same elevation above sea level as...

Looks to me that your example of k|n => 3|6 is a contradiction to the hypothesis. Therefore, since n=6 is neither a 0 or a 3, the hypothesis is false and cannot be proved to be true.
How's that hold up?
