I can't get my two hard drives to work. What should the IDE setting be?

I'm trying to setup two hard drives on my comp. one has windows installed and the other isn't even formatted yet. My problem is i can't get my comp to recognize both. I just need to know the IDE settings (what jumpers and all).

I bought the ram as a matched pair from newegg so I don't think its the ram not cooperating with each other.

I built my first computer today with one small problem my DDR333(kingston HyperX 2x256) ram is only running in single channel mode at 166mhz. I have a Asus A7N8X-X motherboard and I'm not sure how to get it to run at 333mhz or change it to dual channel mode. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I have looked at several benchmarks and I know the P4 is faster than the Barton but that was not my intended question. What I am asking is would the Radeon 9800 make up for the difference between the CPUs for games?
