dude.. did you not read above.. YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE SATA DRIVERS THAT CAME ON A FLOPPY WITH YOUR MOTHERBOARD IN ORDER FOR XP INSTALL TO SEE YOUR HARD DRIVE
the advantages of the mobile athlon are that it runs at 1.45V by default instead of the 1.65V of the desktop version. also it's mutiplier is unlocked. those two things mean that usually you can overclock the mobile athlon 2500+ to near 3200+ speeds, if not past that.. so basically you would be...
well then my friend.. it sounds like you covered everything.. all you have to hope is you get a good Stepping for the Mobile Athlon and your buddy will be all set!
EDIT - the only thing left in question i think is the power supply that comes with the case. It may serve your friends needs...
you might want to look at the Abit NF7-S it overclocks quite well and gets great reviews

well i'm not a fan of the 5200 Ultra.. and I'm not sure how good the Geil Value Series Ram is for overclocking.. which i'm guessing is gonna happen because you are getting a mobile Athlon..
most isp's the home networking charge of $10 a month is for a second IP address.. with a router you dont need to worry about that. some isp's dont officially support routers but they know they cant do anything about them..
yeah that was my next point.. G is more expensive.. B is fine.. unless you are gonna be transferring large files between computers i would go with B but the nice thing about the 'G' router is future upgradability to 54Mb/s
Wireless 'G' gets 54Mb/s and its also backwards compatible with wireless 'B' at 11Mb/s

well then you are all set.. Corsair's XMS LL is some nice ram. People get good overclocks from it and its stable. PLus you cant beat the silver heatspreader.
