it says you can't use 4 dimms at ddr400. but i tested it and i did not have a problem running at ddr400. I even had 2 different types of memory.
OCZ 2x256 El Platinum pc3200 and
Corsair 2x256 TwinX pc3200LL
I don't recommend Corsair memory for this motherboard if you want to overclock...
I also tried some omega drivers once but they didn't work out for me. My problem was that i installed the omega drivers over the ATI drivers and something went wrong there. So you may want to consider getting the driver fixed up depending on how u installed it.
If you install MSI's CoreCenter program and click on "CoreCenter" right at the top it gives you the option to either enable Cool'n'Quiet or manually set the fan speeds for both the cpu and chipset fan.
I guess now all i want to know is what kind of steps should i take to solve any errors.
Should I try increasing voltage or loosen the timmings?
I guess i'm just not sure how to interpret the errors.
The error i'm getting is:
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
I've only had my stuff for less than a week and so far I have been able to get my MSI K8N NEO2PLATINUM 3000+ winchester to 2540mhz. 740mhz extra!! woohoo. I have stock cooling with artic silver.
8x320mhz HTT:3
OCZ 3200 EL Platinum (NOT revision 2) 2-3-2-5 1t @ 213mhz
I haven't done...
I am by far an expert on this board but it could be the 'cool and quiet' feature. It can be enabled in the bios in the cell menu. Or if you have the "CoreCentre" software installed you can enable/disable it from there. The sw is available on the msi cd. hope it helps
