I reset my BIOS to default levels, which drops my CPU speed to (10.5 x 100) = 1050mhz, from (10.5 X 133) 1400mhz, and it boots fine. So I thought it was a power issue and pulled my modem and put my CPU back to its original speed. Splinter Cell loaded fine, so I thought I had solved the problem...

Even after a reinstall of Windows the same problem occurs ... so it wasn't any other drivers/programs that I had installed that is causing the problem. Would there be any other hardware in my system that would cause this? Althon 1.4GHz Epox 8K7A+ 512mb DDR Ram Soundblaster Live NIC Modem

I just installed a Asus V7700 Pro (nVidia Geforce 2 GTS) and every time I go and update the drivers for it and reboot .. my computer freezes. I have tried updated Asus drivers and nVidia detonator (41.09) drivers and they both do the same and I am forced to revert back to XP packaged drivers...

I finally got the sound to work .. but I had to search the Audigy installation cd when adding new hardware. But it still wont let me use the updated drivers from the Soundblaster website ... any ideas on this?

Upgraded my machine from WinXP Home to WinXP Pro via a format, after the format XP won't detect the my SB Audigy, but detects a Multimedia Audio Controller. I tried to use Audigy drivers from the Creative website and it says I dont have an Audigy installed on the system. Any ideas? I've updated...
