Powerlifter Brandon Lilly breaks knee during 750lb squat

Is there a reason that they don't use a cage with pins? He had to fall all the way down to the floor with that weight. And spotters were near worthless for that particular incident (not their fault, though...who can catch that kind of weight from dropping suddenly/unexpectedly?).

Are Asus monitors garbage or is this just bad luck (2 with bad pixels)

We have three Asus monitors (all 27") in our home, one of which is nearly 5 years old. No problems with any of them. I've been very happy with all three (both price and performance).

Minimum weight that every healthy adult male should be able to lift?

True enough, just like for those of us that prefer using dumbbells and mention to others that ur pressing with 100lbs per arm, then you get to hear how surprised they are that you aren't stronger. Doing 200lbs on a straight bar is far different than pressing 200lbs worth of dumbbells (just...

    Christian Terrorism vs. Islamic Terrorism

Congratulations!! This has to be one of the dumbest posts within all of P&N. According to you: Everybody nowadays should be forced to live the grandeur of the 1500's. Mass killings are fine, because its been done before. Killing in the name of religion should be acceptable because it was...

"It was feeling like some kind of Klan rally"

http://www.bizpacreview.com/2013/04/13/rush-limbaugh-shows-his-softer-side-61329 Each year Rush Limbaugh devotes the better part of his three-hour radio show to a fund drive for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Cure-a-thon. This year, the 23rd year, was no different. Limbaugh announced during his...

Finally got a top notch garbage disposal

You clean out the main sewer pipe as pictured in the article? You might also not realize, but just because somebody is using a garbage disposal doesn't mean that they pour bacon and hamburger grease down the drain. And if you are talking about food build up within your home/property pipes...

How many computers is too many per outlet?

Often times one breaker at the panel serves multiple outlets and/or lights. Just something to consider when you start adding up the total power draw.

    Any good Risk-like games?

There is basically a free version of Axis and Allies, which is far better than the retail version. Its called Triple A. There are several other maps that you can download and play (different time settings like 1939/1942/Napoleonic Empire, more countries, imagined scenarios, etc)...

Give me your thoughts on my exercise plan

I couple of things that I would do a bit differently: Wouldn't do an arm workout the day before doing chest. Mon - Chest Tues - Back Wed - Arms/shoulders Thurs - Legs (calves?) Fri - Hit mix of chest of back, lower volume for each over previous workouts. Lots of different possibilities...

IRS confesses to inappropriately targeting conservative groups.

There was a vote in the Senate that allowed the invasion to happen, if you recall. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/onpolitics/transcripts/senaterollcall_iraq101002.htm Following is an alphabetical listing by state of how each senator voted on President Bush's Iraq resolution. A "yes"...
