    Clock Ratio's

I had a similar problem with an Athlon XP 1800+ with an ABIT KR7A-Raid. The BIOS seemed to recognize the CPU as a lower grade Athlon processor and rated the speed at 1150MHz (I think). After nervously thinking about it, I simply went into the BIOS and toggled through the settings to get to...

No beeps or post of first bootup

Another thing: Don't worry about not being able to turn off with the power button. That happened to me during my problems, but it clears once you can get to the BIOS screen. Button works fine now!

No beeps or post of first bootup

    Beeping motherboard

I think they're properly seated, although I have my doubts. Does the upper part of the notch on the bottom of the RAM fit all the way down into the slot? Right now it doesn't, but I'm weary of using more force to get it all the way down.

    Beeping motherboard

I am a novice building my first PC and have ran into a serious problem. When I try to boot up to make sure the motherboard and video card are operating correctly, I get one long beep repeated continuously from the mobo speaker (with no display on the monitor). Although I have not found the...
