I've got the ancient 9000 so I'm wondering what drivers are right for me.
I have an athlon 64 2800 and I see that some (at least beta) drivers are made special for it. Should I consider them? Also, more people's opinion on whether the control center is worth installing would be great.
ok...
before you RMA it... try reseating the motherboard.
Check to see if any of your standoffs aren't in right.
You may be causing a short with the back of the board.
Don't screw the motherboad down too hard.
I've got a 300W psu from FSP Group Inc. Fortron/Source... I think it's manufactured by Zallman which is quality right?
Will it safely power an Athlon 64 3000
with two 120 gb ide hd
all-in-wonder pro 9000
and dvd burner?
Thanks
I haven't played a fps in about a year but it'd be nice to be able to play one if i felt like it... i just bought an all-in-wonder 9000 pro.
I use my computer 8 hours a day so its worth building a machine that doesn't make me wait. I do medium load statistical analysis, business apps, and I'm...
I'm not a hardcore gamer and I don't have plans to overclock.
I'm just looking for the sweet spot in regards to MOBO and CPU.
I was thinking about an Athlon 64 3000 and I think I want SATA.
Also do you think my trusty 300W Zallman psu can handle this?
Do you think a retail cpu is...

Well just a few days ago my power supply was good enough that the computer at least tried to boot windows. Everything seems to be getting power (and I disconnected everything non-vital) do you think a beat power supply error could still be the problem?
Replaced with the same model MoBo but it is 1.5 yrs newer so there are slight changes to the board.
I've tried clearing CMOS but I still can't even get to the bios.
I'm pretty sure its the cpu or the motherboard. Should I be able to get to the bios with a malfunctioning cpu?
Thanks
It was working once but when I started having problems I replaced the video card and then the motherboard and then the RAM.
At one point, with the new motherboard, it would turn itself off a half second after it powered on. I realized that some of my standoffs were out of place and when I...

Not sure how... is a windows "repair" an option?
If you have to reinstall windows it doesn't seem like you've lost that much.
