Yep, work great. I use the Optys instead of the regular chips. Better mem controller.

The drives don't have to be identical, but you could run into issues if they aren't. And if they aren't the same size, the smaller of the 2 drives determines the size of the array. I've run a few raid settups and have always used identical drives to minamize problems.
