    SONY DRU-700A

When you replace the Front Panel you are replacing both the cover of the Tray and the Front Panel with Black replacement Panels, and you end up with a completely Black DVD Writer. Unlike the White Tray Panel which sits out from the Front Panel, the Black Tray Panel sits flush, much like the...

    SONY DRU-700A

No I haven't tried it on ME, I'm just referring to all the documentation that came with the Burner which states that it is only compatible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, no mention of 98 or ME. I have held off updating to XP because I had no problems with ME, but I suppose I now have an...

    SONY DRU-700A

Picked up my new SONY DRU-700A Double-layer DVD Burner today, and only found out when I got it home that it doesn't support Win ME! I would prefer to keep running ME (my system is very stable) and not go to the expense of upgrading to XP (most of my software is circa 2000 and will probably have...

    GHOST Question

Thanks Rommel.I'll be loading the Ghost Image onto a formatted HD, so initially I will have the 8KTA3 Drivers installed. If I then loaded the 8KHA Drivers would they over-write the 8KTA3 Drivers , or will I still have to play with Registry Folders as you suggest??

    GHOST Question

I have a Ghost Image of my OS (set up with Voodoo5 and some basic apps -Norton System works etc). This image was made while using an Epox 8KTA3 Motherboard, and my question is can I use the same Image with a new motherboard? I am replacing the 8KTA3 with an 8KHA, and apart from the RAM...

    Is my Athlon Faulty????

<< If the chip code ends in a C then it's a 266MHz FSB chip. Send it back. >> Why? I thougt 266mhz was good? I've tried running it at 12x100, but get the same result. I've been in touch with AMD and they assure me that if the Chip runs OK in Safe Mode then the problem is probably OS/Driver...

    Is my Athlon Faulty????

I installed the new PS this morning, and unfortunately it made no difference. I then underclocked the chip in .5 increments until it would operate in normal mode, this occurred at 6.5x133 @1.78volts (869mhz)where the Chip operates faultlessly in all applications in Normal Mode. If I bump the...

    Power for a T-Bird

Thanks, Id really like a 400W but where I live the best available is 250W. I can get a 400W by mail but it is US$80 which seems a bit expensive, it is also listed as Pentium 4 compatible, do Athlon and Pentium Motherboards use the same Power Supplies?

    Power for a T-Bird

I'm looking fo a new Power Supply to replace a 300W dud, the best I can find locally is a 250W model. Will the 250W model supply enough power to run a 1.2GHZ T-Bird on an EPOX 8KTA3 Motherboard? Thanks for any advice that you can give:)

    Is my Athlon Faulty????

I think that you're right, because it runs in Safe Mode OK I am sure that the problem lies with the PSU and not the Motherboard or CPU, so I'll upgrade to 400W and let you know the result. Thanks to everyone for their advice
