2 pairs of rams with different frequencies in dual channel mode

Yeah i know the voltages should be same .I have seen 1.5v is the norm till 1866mhz.I also saw some ads for high speed low voltage memory from g skill around 1.35v ,will it give any benefit other than the supposed power benefit:P.

2 pairs of rams with different frequencies in dual channel mode

:awe: great i was thinking that was the case .Whenever i buy a ram i look at the speed and the lowest cl , should i infer anything from the remaining three numbers???

2 pairs of rams with different frequencies in dual channel mode

I didn't really put my point properly ,i was actually saying if i put 2 sticks of same speed either both 1600 or 1866 and run them in dual channel mode ,can i later add 2 more sticks of same speed either both 2133 or both 2400 and run them in dual mode.I know the quantity of these other sticks...

2 pairs of rams with different frequencies in dual channel mode

Hi everyone ,i am going to build a pc very soon and was doing some research regarding which memory to buy.Suppose i get 8gb(2x4) both 1600 or both 1833 mhz memory and run it in dual mode, later on can i put another pair of memory sticks with quantity 8gb(2x4)/16gb(2x8) with "different frequency"...

    Xmp profile with i7 4770 non k

Anandtech has suggested that 1866mhz at cl9 is the new sweet point, is that really the case??

    Xmp profile with i7 4770 non k

Hi everyone i am going to build a new pc soon and was doing a lot of research to pick the right components.I am planning to get an i7 4770 non k cpu along with a z87 motherboard preferrably. Now my question is that z87 boards support memory rated upto 3000mhz so can i run memory rated at 1866mhz...
